A Sweet Arrival At The Wren

We got a phone call from the United States Postal Service.  A package had arrived at the post office and needed to be picked up immediately.

Twelve thousand buzzing bees came through the postal service in nothing but a screened in wooden box.  Yikes!  The postal workers were very happy to see my husband and get rid of the special delivery.

To be continued. . .

  2. Wow -- that is so amazing. I have a friend who went to about 12 classes -- beekeeping school. She told me all about it and that they ship swarms in boxes like this through the post office. Can't wait for the rest of the story!

  4. I'm so excited for you!!! I'm not skilled at all, but if you need any help, please let me know. I'd be happy to be trained!

(Just saw "Vanishing of the Bees" at the Naro last week and secretly stalk the local beekeeping events)
