This is the pantry in my kitchen.
I painted the door interiors with chalkboard paint so I could write my menu or grocery list in chalk.
But, I've found something better to showcase than menus and groceries. . .
Our family has witnessed the truth of these verses over and over again during the past year and I thought it fitting to keep the words printed where we see them several times a day.
Ok - so now I'm jealous of your.....pantry!!! Love the chalkboard. WHEN I get my sewing room I will have one of those. Question. Do the glass jar protect flower, sugar, etc. from buggy friends? It seems like once or twice a year I fight these little teeny black beetle things in my pantry. It has me so paranoid that I keep a lot of my stuff (flower, sugar, pasta, etc.) in my freezer or extra fridge in the garage which isn't always convenient. And if they do, where do you get the giant jars??? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteI bought the large jars at Farm Fresh in their canning section. Ball makes them. I think I paid about $14.00 for 6 of them - they come in a case. I got them because I was having a problem with bugs. I've found the screw on lids are better than the snap on lids for keeping them safe. Also, I keep my flour and sugar in the freezer until I need to refill my canisters - just in case. I've read that most of the bugs that get into your pantry come from the packaging and product themselves and not from your house. By freezing the grains/flour/sugar first, you help eliminate that problem.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm brave enough to admit/say this out loud . . .where is this verse from? I recognize it, but I have no idea where!

ReplyDeleteI love chalkboard paint! And what a perfect verse to have up!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!! I don't have a pantry in my kitchen, but I did have a small "jelly cupboard" (at least that's what my mother-in-law calls it) I recently painted it & painted the inside of the door with chalkboard paint as well for grocery list! I LOVE IT! Your pantry looks great!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great, functional, idea! I'm going to put this on my "someday" list for when I get a house.
